Covid Protocol for Westchester Chorale

Effective September 2023

The Westchester Chorale takes the safety and health of our members and collaborators very seriously. Below is the latest Covid protocol passed by the board for our members and performers.

As of the current date, Covid protocols for The Westchester Chorale include but are not limited to those set forth below. These protocols may change from time to time at The Westchester Chorale’s sole discretion. In addition, The Westchester Chorale will also be subject to relevant Covid protocols dictated by Larchmont Avenue Church or other venues in which they perform. In both cases, any changes in protocol will be communicated to all members in writing prior to any rehearsal or performance.

  • All performers with the Westchester Chorale are encouraged to stay up to date with Covid and flu vaccinations and boosters.
  • The wearing of facemasks at rehearsals and performances is optional.
  • Members will comply with any physical social distancing instructions communicated by the Chorale’s president, Music Director, or designee.
  • Vaccination policy and safety guidelines are subject to change based on federal and local government requirements or regulations. Any updates of Covid-19 protocols will be provided to members in writing, and members are expected to adhere to the guidelines of the most recent version.

Members will not attend any rehearsal or performance with The Westchester Chorale and will notify the membership chair in writing if any of the following applies immediately prior to, or on the day of, any rehearsal or performance:

  • You have a fever (temperature above 100° F).
  • You have any of the following signs or symptoms commonly associated with Covid-19:  chills, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, decrease in sense of taste or smell, muscle pains/aches, persistent headache, congestion/runny nose, severe fatigue, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea.
  • You have had close contact with any individual who was confirmed to have had a positive diagnosis of Covid in the last five days.
  • You have traveled outside the US in the past ten days.

These protocols are intended to mitigate the risk of Covid transmission but do not eliminate all risks. The safety of all members of The Westchester Chorale depends on a communal effort to comply with these protocols.
